The Orangevale Recreation & Park District is governed by a five member elected Board of Directors. Each Director is elected by District residents for a four-year term.

The Board of Directors for OVparks prides itself on inviting resident participation and listening to the constituents of the District. We are proud to serve our community.

Our District is transparent by filing an annual independent audit with the County of Sacramento and an annual financial statement and compensation report to the State Controller. OVparks complies with all Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) regulations, the Public Records Act, and all open meeting requirements of the Brown Act.

The District focuses on our communities parks and recreation needs by utilizing public input in the development of the District-wide Master Plan and individual park master plans.

Board Meeting Dates

In 2024, the Board of Directors will meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month except for December, where they will meet on the second Thursday (12/12).  Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Orangevale Community Center Meeting Room (6826 Hazel Ave., Orangevale, 95662).  Though rare, the meeting schedule is subject to change.
