Measure L Results

Though Measure L did not pass, we thank the community for the tremendous support.

Measure L was the bond measure that appeared on your November 5, 2024 ballot.  If successful, Measure L would have generated 24 million dollars for new and renovated facilities within the parks of Orangevale.  The final ballot count for Measure L was released in early December, where the Orangevale voters supported the bond measure with 62.82% of the votes in favor of.  Unfortunately, bond measures require 66.67% of the vote in order to pass.

The Orangevale Recreation & Park District greatly appreciates the many community leaders who volunteered through Neighbors For OV Parks – Yes On Measure L, and those who donated funds to run the campaign to help get out the vote.  We especially thank the 10,815 locals who voted in favor of the bond measure.  A clear majority of Orangevale voters see the need to revive our aging parks and infrastructure.  We are optimistic that a similar bond measure on a future ballot will generate the extra votes needed to improve our parks to industry standards as our Orangevale community deserves.  In the meantime, our staff will continue to work hard to keep our parks and facilities clean, safe, and well maintained for all to enjoy.
